Heart Strings is an organization developed by Sheryl McCaleb for children with any type of hairloss disorder. Having worked in the area of hairloss for many years I realize the importance of children needing to feel accepted when it comes to going to school and interacting with their peers. It is not unusual for a child with severe hairloss to be very depressed as well as suicidal. I am proud to have made such a difference in many children's lives. It is such a blessing to see a little child beam with pride and excitement when they get their hair for the first time!

We will custom design for the child according to their hairloss problem. This is made with donated hair and goes mainly to children from the Tennessee area. The cutting of the hair: Hair should be no shorter than 8-10 inches and should be placed in a pony tail and cut above the rubber band. The hair can be sent to us in an insulated envelope to the address above. Little girls love pony tails and braids , so if it is to go to a little girl 12 inches or longer is best. We blend many colors together so we can get the most natural look for them. It is especially important to have natural hi-lites for them so they appear to have been in the sunshine.
